Having left the University of Edinburgh with a creditable but perhaps not exactly vocational distinction in Religious Studies, Richard has spent over 20 years in the hospitality sector, enjoying leadership roles within a variety of family-owned and Private Equity backed businesses. From his earliest days behind the bar in Balls Brothers St. James’s to heading-up the Food & Drink offers for a multi-brand, national restaurant group, it was always the need to work with people that made it so fulfilling. Whether running teams, brokering deals or explaining what’s required to the powers that be, the opportunity to guide people and ultimately deliver for them is what’s always got him out of bed.
The pandemic gave him the perfect excuse to take stock, and see where else he might bring this experience and passion to bear, joining the family business to bolster the team’s drive to help clients find and secure their longed-for homes in the country from his base in Oxfordshire.
