Britains top 50 buying agents

Good news, there are officially at least eight better buying agents than me and if you subscribe to PrimeResi you will be able to find them!

The second year of the incredibly helpful list of Britain’s top 50 buying agents ensures that the public has one place to go to find the very best advisors to help them source, evaluate and negotiate for the property they are looking for. Flattered to be in such company, one place higher than last year, there are some seriously good firms listed here employing the very best in the business. There are 530 buying agents registered with The Property Ombudsman (as they should be!) reversing the fall in pervious years.

I don’t mind who you use so long as you get advice when buying or renting a property. Both sales and lettings is a minefield – look at the leasehold scandal and the battle against Tenant Fees and you will see that making what for most is the single biggest purchase is something you really ought to get some help with. It’s not that a buying agent is necessarily brighter than you but it is all we do.

Take time to talk to more than one. For a brief period of time your advisors will have a forensic knowledge of you, your family and your finances. I’m not everyones cup of tea (amazingly!) so take time to speak to others and pick the one who you connect with. You need to trust them and they in turn need to trust and understand you. The list of those I personally recommend is here.
