Property has been all over the news in the past month and the papers have asked for comment;-
As the market hardens so sellers resort to ever more imaginative ways of trying to flog their home. Most simply refuse to accept that their property might be worth less than they had wanted and many of these wacky ideas are actually more complicated than they might seem. Still, since agents seem to have forgotten how to sell many vendors are looking at either novel
A professor sitting in his ivory tower in academia floated the idea earlier in the week that house prices might drop by 40%. There wasn’t much in the way of evidence offered and perhaps not surprisingly most commentators poured cold water on his suggestions. I gave comments to the Telegraph, Mail and to the BBC.
Rupert Neate has always kept an eye on the flagship developments and so it wasn’t surprising that he should be keeping an eye on sales in the iconic Shard. His piece even got a shout-out in the 0610 paper review on the Today program!
There was also a call to explain to the Ham & High about the reasons more and more people are selling ‘privately’ rather than advertising their properties on the open market.
“Where will prices go next?” asked This is Money and “Will we ever build enough homes?” asked the Mail.
