The latest ONS/Land Registry data has been published showing us what has happened to ‘deal’ prices across the UK and giving us our first real data on the market ‘post-Referendum’ with transaction volumes for September – deals that would have been agreed in July following the vote on 23rd June. We also had asking price data from Rightmove so we can see the gap between the two indices. Remember – average prices vary significantly from parish to parish and the two indices measure slightly different baskets of data. The trends are perhaps more important than the actual data.
Here’s my summary and prediction for 2017;
