SPOT THE DIFFERENCE

In the rush to explain to their clients that they don’t support private sellers sites (so called For-Sale-By-Owner or FSBO sites) agents seem to have missed that fact that a number of property portals already have similar offerings.

FindaProperty power their parents ‘Homes & Property’ site – which also takes private advertisers direct.
Propertyfinder powers their parents property site on Times Online – which will also take adverts from private advertisers and
Primelocation (above) actually advertises the services of a company on their website who “will help you sell your property fast with no fees..”.

All three portals deliver significant numbers of enquiries to their agent advertisers and in some cases, for historical reasons, they will work with FSBO organisations. Since FSBO accounts for less than 3% of the market, is this really such a problem?
